Cutting out fizzy drinks??

I'm trying to lose weight for the millionth time, this time using MFP. It's only day 3 but seems to be going pretty well so far.
One thing I'm struggling with is that I've completely cut out drinking full fat coke. It was literally the only thing I drank, so I'm hoping this will make a big impact on my weight loss.
But oh my word the headache is killing me!! It's only just really kicked in today - anyone else been in the same situation that can give me a bit of a spur on? When will the headache goooo? Sad I don't want to give in!

Have you taken a paracetamol? They usually contain caffeine hence why they help with caffeine withdrawal headaches!

Well done on your great start. Do not go back to the sugary coke Flowers

Well done. I cut out caffeine whilst pregnant so cut my Pepsi and coca cola habit! I went onto caffeine free Pepsi which I have had ever since. My withdrawal headaches lasted about a week I think.

I started mfp last Saturday as well and have only drank water or tea since then, not even touched my caffeine free Pepsi as I'm trying not to have sweet things if that makes sense.

Try drinking fizzy water when you get a craving. Obviously it's not the same but it used to trick my body a little and would just take the edge off the urge for cola!

Your body is craving the caffine and sugar. Do you drink tea? Tea with half a sugar is better than a can of coke with 8+ spoons of sugar in it. Hot water with half a lemon squeezed in is great too.

It might take a week or so but it will pass. Good luck.

I don't like tea, no. Or coffee. I have been "treating" myself to the odd diet drink or sparkling flavoured water to try and keep myself going. Also I'm finding that water goes straight through me! Think my kidneys are in shock Grin and I'm struggling to drink very much of anything else which probably isn't helping the headache.
Just gotta make it through a week then I guess
