Can anyone recommend a plan I can follow at the gym? Ideally looking to use the weight machines (I know free weights are better but that's full of muscle heads and I won't go in there so there's no point.)

Books, websites apps please. Whatever you found that's worked.

Thanks

Does your gym have instructors around? Most do. You could ask them to give you a six week programme. That way try will be showing you the right technique. I've seen people use the weight machines and have no clue on how to use their body on them.
Sorry if I'm trying to teach you to suck eggs and you are very expierence do.

I'm currently using a book that was recommended on here called Weight lifting for women which is has a programme to follow.

There are lots of programs out there, it's just dependent how many days you want to go to the gym. Ideally you should be going at least 3 and mixing cardio (fast paced jogging or cycling) with weights. You can do:
Day 1: Chest/Back
Day 2: Shoulders/Arms
and Day 3: Legs
You can do Abs all three days too.

Or, if you can take a day off between each gym session you can do a mixture of everything on one day (look at doing about 6 different exercises)

As for a program specific to machines, I guess it would depend what machines you have?
