Days off?

Does anyone do "cheat days" "cheat meals" etc?

If so how often and how far do you deviate. I used to have off days but they could end up binging

I do, Saturday night (Cook meal, wine & dessert and nibble on choc) and usually on a Sunday too - Sunday lunch, dessert, cups of tea and coffee with biscuits BUT I pretty much waited until I had lost all the weight that I needed to lose first and on Monday morning I'm right back on track. I.m maintaining very easily doing this.

If I had done this while I was losing weight then I probably would have put on what I'd lost during the week but now that my bmi is normal, it's much easier. You have to be quite dedicated on a Monday though.
The minute I over eat on a Monday is the day I'm on the fast road back to being overweight/ obese.

Not sure if mine is the best attitude to food as I'm technically still over eating Blush

I should have said that I would also try and fit in some form of exercise over the weekend!

I have been counting calories for just over a year, the only time i don't count is if its a birthday or christmas etc.
If you count these days up there are quite a lot of celebrations really.
Now that i have lost a lot of weight, if i fancy a day off i eat what i like and we usually go out for a meal etc, i don't count calories at all on these days, however it is only for one day and i go straight back to counting calories the next day.

This works for me but i only have a day off once a month if even that.

That is why I do 5:2 - then there is no cheating.

2 days a week = fasting
4 days a week = eating sensibly
1 day a week = relaxing

and then
24 weeks a year = fasting strictly
24 weeks a year = fasting roughly
4 weeks a year = relaxing

and its let me easily maintain for over 2 1/2 years
