What happened to Britain's fattest man, Paul Mason?

I was watching a documentary on netflix and then it ended just after his operation!

ah, excuse me, I should have googled first I'm glad he's still alive though.

Is this the guy that found love with an American woman who watched she show? If it is I think he shed a load of weight, had more surgery funded by someone else and the NHS refused to pay and is now happy.

I'm amazed I can recall all that. I didn't even watch the programme!

I haven't watched the documentary, but do know the man you mean.

He lost a huge amount of weight after the operation, but has been left with a lot of excess skin, which is causing him issues.

He would like further surgery to remove it, but the NHS will not do it as it's not deemed essentail. The last I heard was that he was looking into other avenues of how he could get funding to have the surgery privately.
