I've loved being on the Summer thread as I think having smaller, interim goals has helped. On that basis, I'm setting myself my next target of 24 lb by Christmas (i think that's 1.5lb per week for 16 weeks).

All welcome to join. Same "rules" as the Summer thread - update once a week, any method of weight loss welcome, don't have to state start or target weight.

Also "non-scale victories" (NSVs) where you've been pleasantly suprised by a change (could be dress size, compliments etc) welcome for motivation.

Who's in?

For info I lost c23lb on the Summer thread which averaged at 1.5lb per week but for the last month I've been delighted just to maintain as I've had a lot of parties and an all inclusive holiday!

Snap Angelica full fat everything, no sugary treats and carbs for dinner only !!

I've not snacked again today, hooray!! Haven't had any added sugar since Monday even though we have a cupboard full of choccie.

Bit cross with myself that a fell at the final hurdle today and had a crappy dinner. Today was massively busy and we ended up getting a take away for dinner, I had halloumi in pitta with salad and I did have some chips too. Cross with myself for not resisting the chips, but it's my first slip up this week, so will have to make sure I'm extra good the rest of the week. I was going to have a weigh in tomorrow but think I'll wait until Saturday now.

Lovewearingjeans · 04/09/2015 20:27

Feeling much better about the scales today, and had a Friday cake treat, as it was my Mum's birthday. Really cut down on snacks and sugary treats the rest of the week. Very pleased with my will power, as I usually have none.

Fourfourtwo · 05/09/2015 10:16

Well done everyone, sounds like you've all had good weeks.

I've lost 3.5lb so very pleased. And I had a takeaway at the weekend and family birthday celebration but managed to not go crazy and didn't stuff myself with cake and curry!

This week I'm going to up my water intake and try to cut down on the amount of sugar I'm having.

Muddledupme · 05/09/2015 21:53

Can I join please I'm lacking in motivation ( and clothes that fit) I will weigh in on Monday and make a plan but think about 13stone????

DarylDixonsDarlin · 06/09/2015 11:28

Well done four, that's a substantial loss isn't it Smile

3.5lb off this week. Very happy.

Well done four. Daryl, I'm sure you will get on track this week.

Relaxing the regime a little today and treating myself to some berries.

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 06/09/2015 13:04

DH weighed himself this morning. He was much much heavier than what he thought he was. Im secretly pleased as Im hoping he will also want to do something about it which makes it a lot easier for me. He's a bit of a feeder so I have to work really hard to eat better.

Im off to the gym as soon as I can be bothered to get off my fat arse.

KatharineClifton · 06/09/2015 13:40

Lovely to see all you new faces :)

Daryl we HAVE to get back on it this coming week! After a week of sitting in a wet field eating biscuits I am 2lb on and grateful it is only that!

In total, 20lb down with 16lb still to shed.

Dexysmidnightrunner · 07/09/2015 09:04

Down 2.7lbs this week, really just from cutting out all the extra junk I'd been having. Going to try to focus on healthier meals as well this week. Good luck everyone!

Was away for my anniversary this weekend, so didn't deny myself dessert, but no extra treats. Back to healthy home cooking. Thinking spicy butternut squash soup for lunches.

Flutterbutterfly · 08/09/2015 10:17

I need to join pleae.
I have a stone to loose by Xmas and I really need to get fit. Skiing in the new year and I'm weak.
Less food and more excercise is needed alongside reduced wine intake.

Children are back at school so I have lots of time and no excuses now.

DarylDixonsDarlin · 08/09/2015 23:49

Exercise: Done
Reasonably healthy eating: Done
Good sleep last night: Done

Grin

Hopefully more of the same tomorrow! I won't expect to see much change in the scales this week, but the exercise felt good and I CAN DO THIS and so can all of you! Flowers

Flutterbutterfly · 09/09/2015 07:26

I ran yesterday and I ate 1700 calories so all good. Although I ache this morning. I've shifted the extra few pounds that gained during holidays, very pleased with that.
Pilates today and a walk.

glenthebattleostrich · 09/09/2015 09:58

I've stuck to it this week, apart from a g&t last night. Half lb off since Sunday so need to get exercising!

I did my measurements and

Waist is 38 inches
Hips are 42.

I want to loose at least 2 inches off both by end of Oct. This means shred.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/09/2015 17:56

Parks bum on The Bench.

I'm going to have to increase my excercise dramatically to make any kind of difference I reckon, I honestly would struggle to know what to cut from my diet (Low FODMAP vegetarian. It would be easier to list what I could eat than what I can't Sad ). Waiting to see a dietician now................................

When my DC were at Primary, I walked them to/from two days a week (when I wasn;t at work) it was a 20 minute walk , so I had 4x20 minutes these days.
Now I don't have to, I'm not walking.
I can't swim far due to my arms and back.

My weight has been pretty stuck at 11.6 for a while but since the Low Fodmap, I've lost 6lb (which I'm pleased but it;s taken 10 weeks. The main aim is to get rid of pain, which it has to a huge degree (not total pain loss) but I'd hoped for more)

So, 106 days till Christmas.
I'm not sure what I'm aiming for but I know I'm over what I should be.
If I could lose the waist I'm happy with my bum and boobs Grin

KatharineClifton · 13/09/2015 10:33

1lb off this week which is a little disappointing, but I've hurt my neck so done no exercise.

In total, 21lb down with 15lb still to shed.

LetMeDriveTheBus · 13/09/2015 17:03

2 pounds off this week which takes me to my preholiday weight. 34 1/2 off and 6 to go.

LetMeDriveTheBus · 13/09/2015 17:05

Don't be disappointed Katherine. 1 pound off is a good loss, especially with not being able to exercise.

Dexysmidnightrunner · 14/09/2015 09:36

1.8 off this week, so a total of 4.5lbs so far. 9.5 to go! made a big pot of soup for lunches at work this week and might even venture back to the gym. Let's keep going!

KatharineClifton · 20/09/2015 15:06

Ate loads of chocolate. Stayed the same Grin

Dexysmidnightrunner · 21/09/2015 08:12

Oops! Afternoon tea, scones, jam and cream washed down with prosecco has led to a lb back on! Better get back on it!
