Best way to lose a few lbs and fit into tight jeans in 3 days?

I'm going away this weekend and although I've kept meaning to lose weight, I've been struggling, as I'm working long hours at the moment and have no time to exercise. Before I was walking my dog for two hours a day and due to not doing this for a month I've put on half a stone (it's probably also due to eating biscuits because I've no time to prepare food at lunchtime!).

I'm going away for the weekend to visit my boyfriend and just want to feel a bit happier about myself and fit into my jeans which are a bit tight.

Is there anything that will help quickly to shake off a few lbs and help me get into those jeans? I'm between a size 14 and 16, like I said very sedentary lifestyle due to working at a desk long hours at the moment, literally from 7.30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (self employed working from home).

I've read that drinking lots of water is good for you. Obviously I need to stay off the biscuits and chocolate. Grateful for any more suggestions that might help.

Thanks Smile

Be careful with egg fasts. I ate too many when I started Atkins once and my gut rebelled big time - I ended up with a horrible stomach ache every time I tried to eat even one for about a year afterwards.

Thanks, the 3 day perricone diet looks good.

I'll be careful with the eggs but as I eat quite a lot now, hopefully it wouldn't be an issue.

I have 2 Tassimo cappucinos every day, decaff, no sugar, is that going to be a problem?

I have cappucinos when low carbing but not sure if the really strict low carbers would agree. There is a low carb boot camp thread on here somewhere with a great spreadsheet of foods you can eat.

I would be a bit worried that even if you starve yourself for 3 days, as soon as you are on the weekend away and wanting to go and eat nice food with your boyfriend you will end up getting chopped in half by/bulging over the top of your jeans again if they are that tight now?

Honestly, I don't mean this nastily and by all means do some healthier eating and try to lose some weight in the longer term if you want, but if it was me, with only 3 days seriously I would just go to the shops and find some new jeans that fit well and are flattering, and then try to fit into the other pair as a longer-term goal.

Military diet works and you eat some proper food. Google it

And anyway surely he'll be pleased to see you and not just inspecting your jeans Smile

MyName thanks. yes, I know you're right, I can't bear to buy the next size up though, it'll make me unhappy Sad Plus I don't have any money.

I just thought if there was something I could do to just shed an inch of two it would help.

I'm sure he will be pleased to see me Smile

Hi check out Adrian Bryant on you tube, lot's of 10 minute workouts to help shift weight fast. I've been doing the 10minute jumping jacks exercise, and after just a week my friends all noticed a big difference in me. I haven't weighed myself but,I have lost an inch from my bum and half an inch from my tummy.

I'm also noticing my clothes are already getting looser. I'm also eating loads of fruit and veg, low carbs and lot's of water.

kazzawazzawo0 · 06/08/2015 22:26

Thanks, that sounds good, I'll have a look. I've eaten really low carb yesterday and today and do feel a bit better for it, not much difference to my spare tyre though Blush.

How did it go OP? Did you keep up the low carb, and did it help? Did you even think about your 'spare tyre' once you saw your other half anyway?!

I'm not overweight anymore but have been a bit bloated up recently, so, inspired by this thread I thought I'd try the egg fast and see if I could ditch some bloat in 3 days. I did it for 1 whole day, it went really well - it's not that hard at all (for a day that is). But then in the evening I had the raging shits some digestive discomfort, so decided not to continue. I've never low-carbed before, so I suppose it was a shock to the system. I lost just over a pound though, and the visual results were amazing! It got rid of loads of belly bloat/chub - I could almost see my 6 pack peeking through again! I would definitely do it again, but I'd low-carb for a couple of days to ease into it to avoid getting the trots again. I didn't have any fizzy drink though - they say you can on the egg fast rules, but that's one of the things that makes your belly bloat out the most, so would avoid like the plague if I wanted a flatter tum.

I hope you had a really great time with your bf. x

Thanks everyone. I had a great weekend. I did low carb for the days leading up to the weekend and my stomach did feel flatter. I will carry on now, as we're going to a wedding in October and I'd like to lose some weight for that Smile

TRexing sorry to hear the egg fast caused you problems. I've not had that problem before luckily!

All weekend we've eaten nothign but cr*p, so I'm back on track today, determined to lose at least half a stone before the wedding.
