Really fast kickstart to weight loss - can't find the thread

A short while ago there was a thread somewhere with a link to a pretty extreme diet which if I remember rightly featured hard boiled eggs and grapefruit quite a bit. It is apparently really effective at first, though obviously not a long-term plan! I really struggle with losing weight being in my 50s and unfit. I am four stone overweight and I need instant success to keep up the motivation and stay off the wine.

Can anyone help? I will adopt low carb as a way of eating as that works for me but I need a significant shift in the first week.

Thanks!

Hi Arkengarthdale how have you got on? I need to lose about 3 stone so thought a week of this might be ideal to kick start things off. Has anyone else tried it?

Hi been off the site for a bit - sorry for delay.

Well I made a good start and found it really easy because I like fruit a lot including grapefruit, although I use tinned (in juice) because they're a b*gger to peel fresh.

Unfortunately had a bit of a family crisis so ended up only on it for four days - but I lost four pounds in those four days!! Looking forward to being on it again but it is a bit unsociable so I need to be home alone to stick to it.
