Need to shed a stone but no willpower and fibromyalgia get in my way.

So I need to shed a stone. I am 4ft 11" and 9st 12lb. I have been this weight for a couple of years and while I can maintain this weight I never seem to shift any.

I am a fussy eater, have no willpower, easily led so if someone suggests a take away I never say no and I have fibromyalgia so if I am in pain and haven't slept then I head for sugary drinks and loads of carbs.

But I have decided enough is enough and have told myself shedding this stone will be good for my health and maybe my fibromyalgia will somehow go away.

So I am using MFP and tracking my steps aim for 10000 but realize this is a big aim for someone who spends a lot of time in her bed.

Luckily I only work 2 days a week and have slightly older kids who can look after themselves without much input from mum so I have the time (if not the energy) to devote to shedding this weight.

3867 steps so far today aim to get to 5000 by bedtime.

So anyone with an illness and lack of willpower who has any suggestions I am all ears.

I have fibro and Ehlers-danlos syndrome (among other things!) and the only thing that works for me is low carb, I feel much better for it, honestly.

I was a sugary carb addict but after a few days the cravings do really go, it also helped to find lots of replacements for the things I missed, today I craved crisps so I fried cheese until crisp and ate them with dip. :) I also really wanted chocolate (new coil fitted less than a month ago and have bad PMS) so I had an Atkins bar...

Thanks, yes I agree I think low carbs is the way to go.

Thankfully I do not have a sweet tooth so chocolate and cakes don't interest me although I do enjoy a packet of crisps.

Still to have my super but should be within or only slightly over my 1200 calories so not a bad start today.

Step count is 5002 so please with that.
