Best way to lose inches from tummy / bum / thighs

I am a size 12-14 but definitely bigger on bottom half. I've just caught sight of my side/rear reflection in a shop window and wasn't happy about how big my bum looks Hmm I'm useless at dieting - can never stick to anything. Probably need to quit sugar as I have a very sweet tooth but don't know where to start with this. I don't really exercise, apart from running round after 2 young children. The only time I can guarantee to have free to exercise is after 8pm and I'm too exhausted by then. Come September my youngest will be at nursery every morning so hoping to get into a better exercise routine then, but I've got 2 weddings to attend this summer and would ideally like to lose some weight/inches before then.... Any advice on the best way to do is please?

I bet it's great for the muscles of your core, and the endorphins, but it's disingenuous to claim that it burns fat from a specific area of the body.

Hold on......am making no claims here. Just stated what I've found has worked for me! who knows maybe I've also burned fat elsewhere but I see it on my tummy and waist.
You seem a little over invested here.

Netty, What is the 30 day squat challenge the gentler way please? I started doing squats but it really hurts my knees so have now stopped but would love to try again, is it more like a half squat?

I am not huge, 10st. 5 size 12/14, 5'6" but am 63 and look ok in clothes but my legs/bum are so wobbly it is awful and my arms, well lets just say I have gone from t shirts to elbow length to three quarter length sleeves over the last few years. My arms are not fat just lots of loose skin and not sure I could ever build enough muscle to pad them out due to lots of weight gain and loss over the years, very depressing!

I seem to be getting there slowly - no bread, sugar, rice, potatoes, pasta etc., just meat, eggs and veg. Lots of water, a good hour's walk every morning, another half hour in the evening, some side planks to tone up ... I'm losing at least a pound a week at the moment and the inches are coming off.

I've lost half a stone, really pleased so far. Still walking twice a day, eating low carb, lots of salad, eggs and meat, 2 litres of water a day.
