My weight has been creeping up over the years, but after a long winter respiratory illness, when I was almost housebound, I went up to nearly 12 stone. I was eating so much rubbish through boredom and stress, a family bar of chocolate every day, crisps, biscuits, cakes, fried breakfast , puddings etc.
As I started to get a bit better and move round more, I dropped to 11stone 3lbs.
I am still going through tests but I've probably developed asthma, my lungs are only functioning at 75%, I've had diverticula disease for some years and also suffer with acid reflux. I also had a severe vit D deficiency which I'm taking supplements for.
I was supposed to have prophylactic breast surgery in January, but was too ill.
So I'm on a mission to lose weight and get fit! I gave up all the rubbish, I don't eat any processed food or add sugar to anything. After a month I lost a stone, and then started using MFP to help me lose an extra stone.
Every day I push myself to do at least 30 minutes of exercise, whether that's a jog/walk, exercise DVD or a dance session.
I also walk the dogs and most days ride my horse.
I'm staying within my 1200 daily calories (often under) , eat only when I'm hungry, don't feel at all deprived.
But my weight loss has stalled for three weeks now. I don't think that I've developed enough muscle for it to be that, but I have definitely dropped a dress size, gone from 14 feeling tight to 12 a little loose.
Has anyone been through this? Or got any tips?
Thanks for reading!
