Question about staying hydrated

Potentially dumb question about hydration! While losing weight I'm trying to drink more so I don't do the classic mistaking hunger for thirst. But does ALL liquid hydrate you? I know it's best to not drink caffeinated stuff, but what about sugar free flavoured sparkling drinks? And what about green tea? I drink tons of the stuff but it's got caffeine in so is it not hydrating me? Confused

Caffeinated drinks still hydrate you, albeit they have a slight diuretic effect. Even alcoholic drinks have a net hydrating effect providing they contain less than 10% alcohol. Probably wouldn't recommend that though.
