Tips for Self-Control at Restaurants

Hey!

It's in the title, really Grin! I'm going to a restaurant tonight and I have an awful habit of throwing all my good work out of the window once I've had a glass of wine.

Does anyone have any tips for staying good when eating out? (It's tapas, as well, so really easy to go mad!)

Fill your plate with green salad : order a BIG green salad at the very start. Keep filling up with lettuce between Tapas.

Alternate glasses of wine and tap water to keep alcohol level more stable

Avoid carbs : go for high protein / fat foods that will fill you up quicker

Between each Tapas session have more salad - or get something like sliced tomatoes and scoff them

Good ideas! Tapas seemed like such a smart plan at the time because of all the small plates, but now I'm wishing I could just order a steak salad and be done with it!

Tapas is GREAT : but eat mindfully.

Also choose the spiciest foods and wash them down with water as then you'll eat less

I try to eat before I go, sounds strange, but if I eat a bowl of soup or have a salad at about 5 a 5.30 it helps me not arrive starving and having to wait until 7.30/8.00 to eat, by which time I would fall head first into the bread roll bowl! I also drink loads of diet coke or sparkling water before , during and after courses.
