Why is it so hard to lose that last half a stone?

Yes I think you have a natural weight.

I started wanting to diet 20 years ago when I was 9st 4 Hmm . I wasn't model slim at that weight but it was my natural weight and I looked great.

I'm now 16 stone and would be very happy with 11 stone.

I bet you look great at that weight Smile - not model thin but slim and healthy?

Yes I look fairly slim I guess, but for some reason I want to be 9.10 ( ish )
but I was 11.5 this time last year so I've done well.
I just can't cut down anymore as I barely eat anything now!

Your body naturally wants to keep at a healthy weight as it wants you to survive through illness and famine. So it will make adjustments to your metabolism to make sure you keep some fat on you.

The best idea is to start exercising and eating. Build muscle, burn calories and you will drop dress sizes instead of getting caught up on what the scale says.

Thanks Seb - yes, I want to remain sensible & healthy, just conscious of how easy it is to pile on the pounds as you get older.

Thing is with restricting your food too much is that you can bring on a 'starve/binge' mentality which is a bitch to sort out. There are always going to be people who have the willpower to eat very tiny amounts each day consistently and stay very slim. Most of us though are hungry and want to eat.

I'm 5.4 and weigh 9.5 and want to be at least 8:10lb as I'm trim then. As im small if I put weight on my books go massive Snd I get a barrel shape with skinny legs.

I've been doing HIIT work out for four days with dieting and not lost a pound - my body is in ribbons Sad

Plus I go on holiday in eight weeks and in refusing to by larger holiday clothes !
