...For all your stories, advice and support. I am wearing my new size 10 jeans and I'm feeling great and for the first time and am confident that I can keep the weight off. All of that is largely down to you guys on this thread (and the food and recipes thread) who have re-educated me about diets and nutrition.

So thank you guys. I will still be lurking regularly but I thought I'd just do a quick post to say keep up the good work chaps!

well done op Smile

can you share your top tips?

FoodieMum3 · 30/04/2015 11:28

Well done OP!

I'm also down to a 10 and still lurk but don't really feel like I belong Blush

How much did you lose? I was 12.5 - 13 stone at my heaviest and am now just under 9 stone. Bmi was 31, it's now 22. (I'm 5ft 3).

How are you planning on/finding maintainance? I Can over do it at weekends but at least I know to eat right and eat less from Monday on. I find exercise is key though.
I've loved buying my wardrobe for this Summer. It's been far more satisfying than any food was Smile

I've just hi jacked your thread Blush

Well done foodie - I haven't thought of the summer wardrobe. That will be exciting!

I was a size 14 (and it was a bit tight!) and I'm only 5ft 1in so that was the biggest I've ever been. My weight has always flucuated but mostly due to excerise and not diet. When I had an outdoor job which was basically 8hrs of excerise everyday i was a size 10 and before DCs I used to run 10km every other day with longer on the weekend I was also a size 10. Problem is that I never learnt how to eat properly and with 2 small DC and a part - time desk job it was not good for my weight.

Oops. ..posted too soon! I'm sure that it is same of loads of us the lack of time and putting everyone else before ourselves makes any changes so difficult. I decided to loose weight in Feb 2014 when DD2 was 4 months. It did not go well at first and was frankly pointless starting when life was that hectic!

Errr, top tips, I'll have a think and be back!

Foodie - you got me thinking. Does anybody fancy a maintaining weight thread?

I figure this is going to be as hard as losing it!

Hello, on the topic of health... has anyone tried these genetic tests which give you information on what you should be eating? I am not feeling 100% and wondering whether a genetic test would give me useful information about my health. Any thoughts on these?
