I am looking into doing the GL diet (want to read the book properly before I start). It is quite clear how many GL's (carbs) you can have per day when trying to lose weight, or when in maintenance mode. But what about when pregnant? Asking as I am ttc at the moment, and want to lose weight before I do, but by eating in a healthy way.
Does anyone know how GL per day for a pregnant woman? Or should I just stick to eating Low GI/GL foods each day when pregnant instead of actually counting them?
(for anyone who isn't familiar with Low GI/GL its all about eating carbs that are slowly released, and don't cause massive surges in blood sugars - so basically cutting out/down on processed carbs/refined sugars)
