is it best to do moderate exercise daily or lots every other day?

I could do an hour cycle 5 days a week or 2 hours 3 days a week. Which would be best?

I think it's best to do something sustainable that you enjoy. If you go at it hammer and tongs doing a high intensity exercise that you don't particularly look forward to then you'll quickly burn out. If you can regularly do something sustainable that will make a long-term difference.
