I am a curvy size 14 occasionally a 12 I am 5'3" I weigh in around 10stone 4pounds depending on the time of the month. I go to the gym 4-6 times a week as I would love to wear some of these lovely dresses that are around at the moment as when I put them on I look like a stuffed sack!
I've always been curvy and find it really difficult to stay positive about myself image when around me I have stick insects who constantly criticise my weight.

They are only so thin because 2 have over active thyroids and 1 is a Celiax - Gluten/wheat free personage. I try to think logically they are only this thin because of their conditions - I am wondering are they secretly jealous that I am a good curvy shape? or are they people I should not have in my life It is very confusing THWY

Who are these people who criticise your weight? That's not on to keep going on about it - I think it's maybe reasonable for a loved one to express concern if your weight is making you ill or unhappy, but not all the time. And at 14/12 it doesn't sound like you're morbidly obese, and you must also be pretty fit with all that gym action. So yes I think these people deserve the boot if possible.

If you feel you're not the weight you should be you could have yourself checked for thyroid issues too, or the other possibility is you're taking in more calories than you realise. But it's possible to be perfectly healthy as you are.

Thanks I think all that you say.

I have been checked for thyroid & lots of other things in a recent Well Woman Clinic & all came back normal which is a good thing

After I wrote this one of them asked me if I wanted to join their gym I said I already belong & she said oh do you? I can't tell. needless to say I am not going to be making any further contact with her, as I don't wish to get into an argument I think silence will be a better statement.

Last evening at the Gym one of the staff said that they have noticed an improvement in my shape - unprompted - & it was a lovely surprise to know that the hard work is working even if not everyone is noticing.

So thanks for reply & I hope that in future I can find some "nice" people to hang out with - now I sound like a teenager! aaahhh!
