Mindful Eating - talk to me about it please and most importantly has anyone lost weight on it ?

I've tried 5:2, alternate day fasting, Scottish Slimmers, low carb (which is difficult when you're 90% veggie ! ) and other forms of calorie counting.

And I'm a bit fucked off with all of it !...but unfortunately have about 2st to lose so cannot bury my head in the sand any longer. I've heard about mindfulness and mindful eating but how easy is it to actually implement ? Also does anyone know of any good books on the subject ?

TIA

Paul McKenna's I can make you thin is all about mindful eating.

I lost weight with that before. Have put it all on again now, but I stopped mindful eating. Im trying to start again though.

I'm in my 2nd week of following Paual Mckenna, I've lost 5.5lbs so far. Mindful eating is the way forward for me, don't want to ever go on a poxy diet again!

Yes I 2nd Paul Mckenna I lost nearly 3 stone on it and am carrying on (living my life by it). It's brilliant, I do follow a healthy diet anyway but I still needed the P.M. mindful way of eating to help me understand my body and mind . IT'S NOT A DIET IT WORKS!!!!

I need to dig out my CD again. In the last 18 months I've put on the stone and half I lost. Just don't know where it is.

I have lost a huge amount of guilt through mindful eating and intuitive eating, and I have also lost weight - but in a much more gentle, patient, take a year-over-it way. But most importantly, I have lost all the self-punishment that goes with dieting. I truly think that paying attention WHILE I'm eating means I don't think about food and obsess about how badly I'm doing for the whole of the rest of the day!!
