I'm not massively overweight, I'm about 10 and a half stone and would like to lose a stone and a bit for the summer, so I've started using my fitness pal which is going really well so far.

Yesterday, I just went totally overboard on the chocolate! I logged it all, and didn't go over my daily calorie allowance, but I did go over my sugar and slightly over my fat ones.

Just a question - even if what I eat is real rubbish health-wise, but I still am under my daily calories, will I lose weight? I'm not planning on doing this again, but it's just useful to know in case of another slip up.

I'm not sure, but lately I haven't been as careful as I should with the particular goals, but have stayed under my calories and my weight loss has slowed.

If you eat less than your TDEE you will lose weight
BUT
to lose weight long term and healthily you need to have as many micronutrients as possible in your calories.

A TDEE comprising wine and chocolate will not do you as much good as TDEE out of fish and veg and fruit

Actually it depends - the carbs you eat are going to create an insulin spike and make it easier for your body to store fat.
