Slimfast anyone?

Yesterday I bought a single tub of Slimfast shake to try. I have recently had extensive dental work and eating is difficult so I figured shakes would be a good move, and I could lose a little weight in the process.

Any hints or tips or advice about Slimfast? Do people even do this diet anymore? It does feel a bit 90s ;)

Lol not any help but this thread has taken me back to my zig zag parting, combats and plum lipstick downing a slim fast for tea before going binge drinking and eating chips and curry sauce on the way home. Had the body of a goddess then. Wish I'd appreciated it!

Anyway hope someone more useful comes by but thanks for the blast from the past!

Lol IamMummy I remember being at uni and all us girls decided to do Slimfast for a week before the summer ball to "get a flat stomach" - but it made me too hungry so I had my shake as a side with my dinner :-D

The strawberry shake is really nice actually and is kind to my poor teeth. But I do think I am going to be bloody hungry!!

the Slimfast shakes have a lot of sugar in them so long term not great for your teeth!

I'm using Slim and Save and I'm not hungry most of the time. I do have a lot of weight to lose though.

and yes, I remember getting all excited about how skinny I was going to be after Slimfast back in my 20s but I could never, ever stick to it. in hindsight I didn't need to bloody diet anyway (most of my calories came from cider!)

I will make sure I clean my teeth thoroughly!! I only intend to do it for a week or two, I'm interested in whether it will work and how much I will lose in 2 weeks. Then it is back to slimming world ;)

I'm also planning on joining the 90's revival! Just bought a tub of the powder today so going to start tomorrow. Still got some baby weight to lose, well I say still, 10 months down the line and I've just started to realise that I can't use the excuse of a "new" baby anymore so I'd better get started!

I'm doing slimfast atm. I've never dieted in my life but the normal ones like weigh watchers are no good for me as i don't eat any veg, fish, pasta or rice.

I've been doing this 3 weeks now, stuck to it but for my evening meal i eat what i fancy just keep an eye on portion sizes. I've lost 8lbs

That's great! Well done mum2tots. I started yesterday and I'm managing to stick to it but can't stop thinking about food! Just got to keep focused on the end goal.
