Hello!

I am not overweight (in terms of BMI) but I definitely have enough flab that its getting me down. Its mainly on my tummy. I have that lovely mum tum where its either get jeans to fit bum but cut tummy in half with attractive overbulge or get jeans to fit waist but end up with saggy arse. I am also prone to back fat. Those are my 2 areas. Back fat and bulgy tum. I sound dead attractive don't I?! I am a size 8-10. I have large norks, smallish waist (if you ignore the aforementioned bulging), a very short body and long legs.

I cannot do high impact exercise as I have had double prolapse repair following DD being unceremoniously hoiked out of me. I LOVE the benefits that have come with the repair and do not want to do anything to compromise it.

I also have severe reflux and am being referred for GERD investigations.

I am knackered a lot and really perk up after a short nap! However the naps are rare to get.

So! I have now painted a really attractive picture of myself; I want to start toning up whilst protecting my prolapse repair and eat protectively and well, trying hard to minimise reflux symptoms.

Today is Day 1 of Project Kick Reflux and Flab Into Touch. Does anyone want to join me? We could post up our own goals, taking into account our own health goals too?

Today, I downloaded a free yoga app and, at lunchtime, I did 20 minutes Yoga. It was various poses, all of them challenging even on the easy setting. I have discovered that my favourite porridge with almond milk, bananas and berries for breakfast is doing my stomach no favours so I have had 2 rounds of (home breadmaker made) multi grain toast and tea which is much more stomach calming. I then was an idiot at lunch and had left over fajita mix reheated in a toasted wrap. It was super yummy but my stomach hurts now despite my second Omeprazole and a cup of mint tea.

Aims this week:
Cut out coffee.
Alcohol allowed 2 evenings only (2 small glasses- this amount is fine for me but the frequency is what I need to diminish because I just really love the taste!)
20 mins yoga every day.
Start a food diary.

Anyone fancy coming along for the ride? Smile

That all sounds very ambitious!:) very impressed:)

i want to tone up and lose weight as well. I'll join you if I can follow my plan:)?? I try and run everyday for about 4-5 miles and have just downloaded a pilates app.

I veer to low carbing and my massive aim is to tighten up and lose my tummy, which after 2 CS is a bit, well, squashier than it should be. Plus I have the cs overhang which will look a million times better if I tone up!

I'm the same size as you, and shape, I look like a rather too curvy hourglass:)

Hello lavenderhoney! Of course, I was meaning each to their own plan as otherwise it would be a bit restrictive! I am very impressed back at you! 4-5 miles a day is great.

I really easily get blood sugar lows so don't think I could manage low carbing but I tend to have complex slow release carbs (and a love of chips Wink).

Yes! on the too curvy hourglass! I look fine dead on but all round squashy tummy by profile!

Post-birth really can be the devil and the deep blue sea territory can't it? Overhang from CS (which I did not know was a side effect until I came in MN) or internal damage which I think is much more common than reported. Of course there are those lucky souls whose babies just slide right out Grin.

So, yesterday- I refused evening wine! Today is my 6th day without coffee. I did 20 mins yoga yesterday lunchtime and felt it went really well then seemed to pinch my sciatic nerve when reading bedtime stories to my DD Confused so I had a bad limp all evening but its only a niggle this morning after I did some painful roller work on it. So 20 more minutes this lunchtime!

Food Diary:

Yesterday Breakfast: 2 rounds of breadmaker multi-grain toast with butter and marmalade and 1 cup of Lady Grey. (just realised I'd made overnight oats with dates and banana and I forgot all about it so thats still in the fridge Blush.

Mid-Morning: Smoothie with mixed berries, spinach, almond milk, acai berry powder and one banana. Did not finish as stomach acid started bubbling. Took tablets.

Lunch: Leftover Fajita mix in wrap with avocado and tea.

Dinner: A Bath pie brought by a friend (beef and ale with blue cheese), one medium sized new potato as the other wasn't cooked enough, broccoli and carrots. One yoghurt. Glass of fresh lemonade.

Feelings:

Stomach symptoms ok but did take 40mg of omeprazole.
Body aches after yoga but I am looking forward to more.
Not missing coffee.
