Hello!
I am not overweight (in terms of BMI) but I definitely have enough flab that its getting me down. Its mainly on my tummy. I have that lovely mum tum where its either get jeans to fit bum but cut tummy in half with attractive overbulge or get jeans to fit waist but end up with saggy arse. I am also prone to back fat. Those are my 2 areas. Back fat and bulgy tum. I sound dead attractive don't I?! I am a size 8-10. I have large norks, smallish waist (if you ignore the aforementioned bulging), a very short body and long legs.
I cannot do high impact exercise as I have had double prolapse repair following DD being unceremoniously hoiked out of me. I LOVE the benefits that have come with the repair and do not want to do anything to compromise it.
I also have severe reflux and am being referred for GERD investigations.
I am knackered a lot and really perk up after a short nap! However the naps are rare to get.
So! I have now painted a really attractive picture of myself; I want to start toning up whilst protecting my prolapse repair and eat protectively and well, trying hard to minimise reflux symptoms.
Today is Day 1 of Project Kick Reflux and Flab Into Touch. Does anyone want to join me? We could post up our own goals, taking into account our own health goals too?
Today, I downloaded a free yoga app and, at lunchtime, I did 20 minutes Yoga. It was various poses, all of them challenging even on the easy setting. I have discovered that my favourite porridge with almond milk, bananas and berries for breakfast is doing my stomach no favours so I have had 2 rounds of (home breadmaker made) multi grain toast and tea which is much more stomach calming. I then was an idiot at lunch and had left over fajita mix reheated in a toasted wrap. It was super yummy but my stomach hurts now despite my second Omeprazole and a cup of mint tea.
Aims this week:
Cut out coffee.
Alcohol allowed 2 evenings only (2 small glasses- this amount is fine for me but the frequency is what I need to diminish because I just really love the taste!)
20 mins yoga every day.
Start a food diary.
Anyone fancy coming along for the ride?
