Weight loss in pregnancy

Before I start, I know that dieting in pregnancy isn't something necessarily encouraged. However, I am a larger lady and everyone keeps mentioning my high BMI, I had the same with my first pregnancy but it never really got mentioned. I had the GTT, which I'm having this time too. But I've also got to have extra scans this time because of my BMI.

So because it keeps being mentioned, all the time, it's made me really self conscious about it and I was wondering if there was anything I can do about it. I am a member of a gym, I haven't been during my first trimester as I've been so tired but I'm also a bit wary of doing stuff that might harm my baby. I don't particularly have any food aversions and because of morning sickness, I try to eat little and often.

Basically what I'm asking (after that bit of waffle) is what can I do to bring down my BMI whilst pregnant?

Thanks for your time
Tess
