Please tell me about Lighter Life

I know there's a VLC thread but I just need some experiences with this. I've never tried it before as it's expensive but I have reached the point where it's going to have serious implications on my health if I don't do something so it's worth it if it works.

Just wondered what people's experinces with it were.

I've not tried lighter life but tried the Cambridge diet which is similar though cheaper. I did lose weight but it was hard going. Second time I tried it didn't work but my own fault as I just couldn't stick to it. I might try Exante which is a similar thing but cheaper still.

I've done Cambridge before and lost 3 stone.

Unfortunately stress at work and not changing my eating habits means I'm currently doing exante to re lose it! I'm liking the sausages, pancakes and breakfast eggs from exante as I'm not sure I could do all milkshakes again.

2 weeks in and 12lbs down. It works, but you have to change your eating habits long term to keep it off - just like anymore other diet I guess.

What appeals for me is that I'm very much all or nothing and I like the fact that 'normal' food is taken out of the equation. I can't just have a small piece, I can't have any, full stop.

There are cheaper options - google slim and save or sml diet. I'm using sml diet and doing well, there are supportive Facebook groups. I've done lighter life in the last and it was very expensive and the 'group therapy' was rubbish (although this is obviously personal experience and might be better elsewhere).

Thanks I'll have a look at that.

I did it and lost 7 stones. It did change my life dramatically. However I then got breast cancer (nothing to do with LL) and put on weight due to hormone treatment and emotional eating. currently on Cambridge diet which is similar but no group meetings.
