I've been ill since the end of Jan and haven't been physically able to work out. I was stuck in bed for several days and feeling shitty for weeks after. I was very excited to get my fitness back and lose the 5 pounds of jelly i've gained while being ill. So I did the shred on monday, you know start gently and all that. I found it reasonably easy, apart from the push ups as i seem to have lost all my arm strength and woke up with a pulled bicep. Yesterday I went to my favourite strength & conditioning class. I was so excited just to put my favourite tap out t shirt and leggings on. -pathetic emoticon- I was hefting sandbags and jumping on boxes like nobodies business! Yes! Thought I. I'm back baby, i'm gonna get fit, i'm gonna get lean, i'm gonna-oh ow OH SHIT MY BACKS JUST GONE. I tried to work through the pain but oh no nope. I couldn't even walk. DH had to help me down the stairs. Spent today with a heat patch, heat rub and dosed up on ibuprofen. Can't lift anything heavier then a contact lens and can just about limp along if I tense all my core muscles really hard to keep my back still. This sucks [sad] I just had to write it down. [sad] Looks like getting back in shape will have to wait another few days. [sad] [angry]
