Morning all!
I'm a mere 5ft 1inch tall, and last I looked was 13 stone. I have a REALLY bad relationship with food. Vicious circle of comfort eating all the wrong stuff and then getting depressed about my size, look etc.
managed to get myself down to 9 stone about 7 years ago so I KNOW I can do it, but I just have never felt able.
I'm determined now to do things right, and do it slow and take it easy so I don't punish myself and give in if I go a week without a loss.
I've got a 500 calorie diet book that has given me some great ideas. This morning had an egg white omlette for breakfast and it was actually really nice!
Can anyone offer tips for a busy mum of 6 that really wants to get fitter and lose the bulge? I don't walk to school every day as some kids at primary some at secondary a few miles the opposite direction so using the car is a must. I feel like I'm always on the go as we have a busy house and with young children comes "stuff" galore so always tidying up.
I use my slow cooker as much as possible and this I believe helps me to cook healthy balanced dinners. Some of the younger ones are extremely fussy so I do tend to end up making 2 dinners some nights just so they actually EAT. This doesn't bother me as the older kids went through phases like this and now have a really good healthy diet.
I can feed them really well, but I just have been through such a hellish year this last year, that I am a comfort/boredom eater and need to break this habit. I feel frazzled, and when I do manage to get half an hour break from house chores and school runs, I seem to munch munch munch all the wrong things and not actually realise how much I've munched :( Thing that sickens me is this - I LOVE healthy options, and I love my fruit and salads and steamed veg. The OH is one of these men that has a very lean frame and high metabolism and burns off more than he eats just by sitting on his arse so there is always crisps and unhealthy stuff in the house that I just tend to reach for :(
So... any tips to help me out? I drink 2 ltr water per day btw and avoid fizzy drinks unless I'm out and about having lunch etc
