Slimfast Diet

After reading many threads on here, I've started the Slimfast diet this morning. I weighted at 6.30am @ 12st. I'm going to have just 3 shakes a day for the 1st week and see how much I lose. Mainly to shrink my stomach, then after a week introduce a healthy meal early evening. I'm also drinking 2L of water each day.

Has anybody else attempted this diet and what are your thoughts?
Thanks in advance for our advice x

I think a whole week with no real food is not doable, if you're going to do a diet then you should at least follow the instructions. You're allowed a healthy meal that's 500 calories a day aren't you?

Slimfast shakes are full of sugar, which is what makes them so palatable.

Please be careful if you are going to only have three a day, they are not designed for this and don't contain anywhere near the amount of nutrients required every day. They also don't contain a lot of protein so you will find yourself very hungry. Shakes designed for total meal replacement are very low sugar and this puts you into ketosis, which stops you from being hungry on those diets.

I would recommend you follow the diet to the letter from day one to avoid doing any damage.

Good luck!

Thank you both PopcornFrenzy and SoonToBeMrsB for your replies. To be honest I looked on here to see who had do what in the past. And that was what I found, only they had done it for 2 weeks, which I thought was a bit much. I'll have another google to read other threads. Thank you x
