I have been overweight for years, well most of my adult life. Every year or so I manage to lose a couple of stone but the amount of shear hard work and grit it takes is never sustainable and it always goes back on. I hate excercise, I do it but I hate it. I love ealking and walk loads with my dogs.

Food wise I have tried everything, weight watchers, slimming world, 5:2, low carb and good old fashioned calorie counting.

The only time I got to a weight i liked was wityh eating 1500 calories a day and excercising like mad.

I have just been out for a family meal and my borther is telling me how he weighs such and such due to biking hundreds of miles this weekend, my dad joins in, then my mum and sil discuss how they are 9 stone, they excercise all the time. They genuinely enjoy excercise. I dont.
So what is the actual answer, does anyone know becasue I hate my body but I seem to become so stressed whenever I try to do anything about it,
I am also very short of time, doing a full time nursing course, 2 kids and 2 dogs at home and am tired all the time.
I have a couple of weeks off soon so was thinking I could start shred then and follow with ripped.

I have reached the point where I would consider surgery (except I havent got the time or money)
None of my clothes fit, my pants always roll down, my stomach is always bloated and round and painful, I am tired and I just dont feel good.
Help please.

desperatly thats actually really helpful, I love a good boiled egg (or basically anything crunchy and salty. I think if I do more excercise I eat less, why does it work like that. I have got in tonight and taken the dogs out despite the fact that dh had already taken them.

I ca do the shred and things and I do see it through but long term it has to be things I enjoy. I just love walking, in act been on the stepper while watching telly tonight to make sure my steps get up to 10,000. I think since i am on place, ent I am not even doing school runs anymore.

Quite a lot of processed carbs there. I do the bootcamp on here and its the ONLY thing that has ever worked and i have done everything. Its a mindset change as its high fat low carb but i NEVER feel hungry loose a pound a week, sleep better, knees dont hurt and no ibs.

Its also full of healthy unprocessed fresh food.

Yy to eating less the more exercise you do. I think maybe it's something to do with endorphins or serotonin being released?? I definitely eat a lot less when I exercise regularly anyway Smile

I wonder if since you live salt so much that you are retaining a lot of water to keep your body in salt/water balance.

that is possible isnt it. I am trying to behave with the salt as I could just live on salty things.

I was good today, I took the dogs out for a mega long walk when I got in from work and instead of having tea and pancakes I just had pancakes. (I know thats not really good but come on) Still a couple of hundred calories under on MFP.

I'm a similar weight to you. 10st 12. Can I ask how tall you are and what size clothes you wear?

Gosh that sounds intrusive! I'm just curious.......

I always feel quite seen off because I don't think my eating is that bad yet at 5ft 4 I'm still chunky !

ditavonteesed · 17/02/2015 20:14

I m definatly not 10 stone 12 ;) wish I was. Am 5'6" and wear a 16 clothes
