Hi everyone. I'm really struggling to resist eating so much sweet stuff. What are your strategies in saying no?! What do you use as a healthier substitute?
Thanks Smile

Have you tried Alpen light chocolate and fudge bars? If your doing slimming world they are only 2 1/2 syns each (you can have 2 bars as your healthy extra) and actually taste really nice. I'm eating this instead of chocolate now. I have no self control with chocolate once a pack is open I have to finish it!

I don't have any suggestions - shamelessly place marking as i have a terrible sweet tooth

I allow myself one square of dark chocolate after lunch and one after dinner. Not having any would lead to frenzied eating of an entire Christmas sized tub of Roses. And not having a 'rule' would also lead to the same. I find dates are a good alternative for mouthfeel and leave you more full up (and yes, I know they are full of sugar but I say this as one who 'did the diet' and lost 5 stone).

It's a fine balance clammer, I really regret going cold turkey...I'm sure it works for some people and I thought it was working for me till I started bingeing and that is something that you really don't want in your life.

I'm not convinced about the healthier substitute, I find after eating the healthier substitute I still have the craving I started with, so I end up eating both...clearly I am the extreme end of sugar addiction, but I'm learning to control it by having an obscene amount of the stuff in my cupboard, I almost feel nauseous looking at it - I know it's counter intuitive but it seems to be working.
