I told my daughter if she carried on eating like she is she will be " fucking massive" tonight. Oh dear, why did I do that. She is 20 years old and has probably gained about 2 stone over the past 18 months and I am seriously worried, but god i've gone about it the wrong way today. Coming from a former fatty I think I should have known better. How can I make it ok now. I meant what I said but I said it all wrong.

You say you are a "former fatty" how did you lose weight? What motivated you, what was the moment of realisation that you had to change?
I doubt it was someone you love and trust stating the bleedin obvious in a brutal, hurtful way.
The positive thing is that know you fucked up. Apologise to her and let her know you love her.
