Vibration Plates

Hannadunnmum · 03/02/2015 10:53

After having my 4th baby boy, I'm now really, really due to start losing some weight.

I've had a few friends raving about how much weight they've lost using these vibration plates rather than the conventional job around the village.

Has anyone else here had as much luck losing the baby weight using these?

Kind regards,

Hannah

I thought they were a fad

Do you mean power plates? Simply standing on them and holding a pose wont do much. Doing functional exercises/weights on them will slightly intensify the work out - but really to lose weight you need to do a combination of cardio and weights.

and eat sensibly so the plates are not really adding much more apart from being something different.

They're faddy nonsense. Standing on a plate and jiggling cannot make you lose weight.

Hence why they were removed from my gym just a couple of months after being introduced. They were useless, the fitness trainers admitted so, and nobody used them.

File under "Slendertone" in the mental "pointless gadget" box.
