hi
Thinking about buying a rowing machine for home. It can be left assembled all the time, happy to pay up to about 300, any recommendations and also has anyone had good overall results from regular use? Thanks Grin

Concept are the best but cost ££££££ You need to learn how to use a rowing machine correctly - just sliding backwards and forwards on it won't get you fit.

Agree that Concept are a good brand, but 99% of people use ergos incorrectly (often watched by gym staff who say nothing), so it's really important to get some real life advice on technique from someone who actually knows. On the way forward, you have to ensure that your hands are forward over your knees before you bend your knees, and then on the way back that you drive with your legs and only when they're almost straight, bring your arms back. This is easier said than done. If the chain is bouncing up and down you're doing it wrong.

Rowing gives you excellent fitness and aesthetic results due to the combination of cardio and resistance.

Cheers that's excellent advice!
