We have decided to begin with healthy eating in Jan, we both only have about 1st to loose. We need ideas on healthy foods so we can specifically plan meals and not end up buying treats etc!! We like the idea of less chips/pasta based / stodgy meals and more fresh fish, plain chicken and green veg or salad? Any ideas or tips you could share with us?

No snacking.

Drink water before and with every meal

Treat fizzy drinks as if they were strong alcohol - ie strictly rationed.

Put your large plates away and use small plates
Serve the veg / salad FIRST so that it fills 1/3 to 1/2 of the plate
then serve the meat / carbs

the less you change in your diet, the more likely you are to stick to the regime long term.
