thats no booze though
havent started drinking yet
have you been drinking perhaps its that

glinda · 27/12/2014 14:29

Yes, I drank on Xmas day - no more now though!
It is quite a relief to get back on track, even though I only fell off the wagon for 1 day. I am going to the gym soon - onwards and upwards!

I haven't weighed myself but over ate (a lot) on Christmas Eve, christmas day and Boxing Day. I was back on track yesterday (felt horrible; bloated and sluggish) but already feeling good today.

Drink loads of water and go for a long brisk walk.

Don't be hard on yourself, some people don't even think about it until January.

PhoebeMcPeePee · 28/12/2014 22:50

I've got weigh-in tomorrow but if my scales at home are correct I've gained 5lbs which puts me back at end of November weight ConfusedConfused. Back in plan tomorrow & hoping to fit a run in to compensate.

MaccaPaccaMac · 29/12/2014 12:13

8 pounds on! In 2 weeks- didn't think that was even possible. And it's all gone on my stomach, I blame the booze. Quite panicky now as have a nice new dress for New Year's Day and will look like a pig in a frock. Great.

Annietheacrobat · 29/12/2014 13:56

My scales ran out of battery a few weeks ago. Finally bought a new one this morning and I have put on 10lb!!

I think the quick check every morning must have been doing some good.

MiddleAgeMiddleEngland · 29/12/2014 17:58

Feeling pleased as I weigh 2 pounds less than I did on Christmas Eve. Have been very disciplined though. Just a couple of chocolates and one mince pie. No drink except herb tea and water.

Hoping to lose another half stone by the summer. Lost a stone over the course of a year, on the theory that doing it slowly was more likely to last.

Letmeeatcakecakecake · 29/12/2014 20:31

I have apparently put on 4 lbs so far over christmas. It's because of all the chocolate that's around! It's everywhere! I've decided to eat incredibly healthy throughout the day, and indulge in chocolate in the evenings until New Year's Day, when I get back on the wagon!

Doesn't help that I can't really go to the gym/swim laps as DS isn't at school!

Corneliusmurphy · 29/12/2014 20:38

Weigh-in tomorrow but looks like half a stone!! I just don't seem to be able to stop eating shit felt bloated and horrible Saturday night, determined to be back on plan yesterday and then somehow had to finish the chocolate log, the gateux and then started on the malteasers.
What the fuck? I had lost seven stone this year where did my staying power go????

2kidsintow · 29/12/2014 20:43

I was the same when I weighed this morning. I've been eating rubbish, but not lots of it.

Sirzy · 30/12/2014 07:41

I had put on 2lb but as a couple of days of proper eating and drinking water has seen me drop to my old weight then I guess that was mainly water retention

Wishfulmakeupping · 30/12/2014 08:02

I've put 5 pounds on in a week feel like shit now :(
Going back to normal eating today wish the house wasn't still full of Xmas treats!

colleysmill · 30/12/2014 08:09

Hhmmm official weigh in is tonight (our meeting is running all over the festive period!) But my scales say about pound and a half (maybe two) which still makes me down ten pounds overall. The booze is my downfall as well as cheese and biscuits! Went back to better eating plan yesterday and I feel better for it.

What I feel though is flabby. I wanted to go for a run over the weekend but it was so icy I didn't dare and my exercise dvd s sadly remained in the box! Might try and change that today.

Sirzy · 30/12/2014 08:30

I did some weights and power hoop yesterday as decided it wasn't rubbing weather!

Sirzy · 30/12/2014 08:37

Running not rubbing Blush

colleysmill · 30/12/2014 08:47

I went out for a walk with the dcs yesterday and was skidding and sliding all over the place on the pavements here - last thing I need is a broken bone from attempting to run! I'd love a running machine at home but we just don't have the room (and it'd probably become a clothes hanger!)

PhoebeMcPeePee · 30/12/2014 10:04

Put on 3.5lbs which considering I was only off plan 4 days & thought I'd been slightly restrained is quite a lot!!!

I'm going to try the new SP thing this week as really want that gain shifted & know NYE/NYD will be a disaster.

MinionDave · 30/12/2014 10:39

I put on 7lbs in 2 days! Ate like a pig over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, started exercising and eating healthier on Boxing Day and have lost 5lbs. I know a lot of that will be fluid, but I'm determined to get back down to 12 stone something for New Year (13 stone exactly right now Sad)

Scatlett4456 · 30/12/2014 11:17

About half a stone...over a week...so very sad that it goes on so easily, ll round the middle too.
Back to the plan.

glinda · 30/12/2014 11:27

My extra 2lb have gone again! I think that if you address these sudden gains straight away they come off quickly too. Wonder what the science is behind that?

OP posts:
colleysmill · 30/12/2014 19:27

Well that was better than expected - pound on only - much better than in previous years!

MercuryRising · 30/12/2014 20:01

My last wi was 2nd Dec and I have gained 4.5 which I didn't think was too bad. I am aiming to get 2 off for next week.
