Going for an Italian - What should I eat?

I'm going for a meal on Friday night and I'm wondering what to order as I'm currently following ww (losely!) and trying to loose some Ibs!

I don't want a salad - I'm sick of the sight of them. What do you think would be better

  1. a pizza (ham and pineapple)
  2. Spagetti Carbonara

i know neither of them is actually very good but I've been good all week and I'd like to eat something nice!

pizza

Step away from the carbonnara.... full of cream.

I'd have a vegi pizza. And sorbet pudding.

I'd have what you want, there is nothing worse than going out for a meal and denying yourself. just be good for the rest of the week.

ha ha - thanks moon!

I'll try and be good - can't promise the desert and wine menu won't get the better of me though!

could you go for a tomato based pasta sauce with lots of lovely veggies? then you might be able to have some garlic bread on the side

exactly hbg - I can't bear going to a restaurant for a night out with the girls and eating salad and drinking water it's just no fun! I have to allow myself a little time out from the diet every now and then otherwise I crash and burn in spectacular style!

God... I certainly wouldn't drink water I'd forgo starter AND pudding and replace with wine any day.

I'd just like to point out that if it was me, I'd say stuff it to the diet, have wine, a starter, canneloni, and tiramisu and garlic bread, with lots of cheese on top of everything, my earlier sensible suggestion was just an idea for the more health conscious among us! I almost wrote stuff it and have what you want but that didn't sound very helpful!

sweetheart · 11/10/2006 16:20

ohhhh but I'm a pudding girl - mind you I'm a wine girl too

Perhaps if I have a low(ish) fat pudding and substitute the wine with Vodka and diet coke I won't feel so bad!

Normally I'd say sod it and eat whatever I wanted (I don't usualy get to go for meals very often) but I now actually have a meal out booked every week between now and Xmas (including a hen night - half a stone on that weekend!) If I keep going at this rate I'll be 2 stone heavier before xmas!
