Well done snorkle

Snacking is normally my downfall too although is more under control now that I've started posting my food diary here. But another bad habit of mine is glass or two of red in the evenings (like tonight - eek!)

so thank you every one !

MrsFish · 10/11/2006 09:32

What pedometer do you have? I only ask because 25,000 steps on mine equates to 12.5 miles

We must have vastly diferent stride lengths

biglips · 10/11/2006 09:36

mrsfish - how r u feeling today?

MrsFish · 10/11/2006 09:48

Don't feel too bad... was up at 5am coughing my guts up but managed to sleep from 10pm till then so had some decent sleep, now have a stinking headache and blocked up nose, but other than that ok

Hasn't stopped me eating brekkie

Don't think I am going to get near yesterdays step total though

Ds woke up this morning with a crusty face and his eye welded together with gunk so it looks like we both have it. Time of the year I suppose but its a bit annoying especially after we had a bad week a month ago with the same thing.

loopity · 10/11/2006 10:15

Well I'm determined to be good today....will see how I get on!

Mrs fish, glad you got some sleep (very scarce commodity when you have small children )

Good luck for today everyone

Dislexicicecream your doing so well, you've been so good with what your eating and doing loads of exercise, its brilliant. Your burning loads of cals when you walk, yesturday you burnt 1527.7 now im sure your eating less cals than that a day so your going to lose the weight so so so quickly if you carry on the way your going... keep it up. I bet your apetites shrunk too by the small portions of food your eating.

Im really worried just about to take ds to get his immunisations injection. Im scared.

sweetheart · 10/11/2006 12:11

My god - I can't keep up with this thread! Your all so chatty!

Dic - I think you are doing brilliantly and 11stone 4 months after having a baby is brilliant (I think so anyway!)

I have had the best morning so I thought I'd share. I am wearing trousers today that are my fav (they make me feel great just wearing them!) I sent them to the cleaners to be made smaller and have just got them back. Today I have had 4 people tell me how slim I am looking and ask how much weight I have lost.

My ds will be 1 next month and since he was born I have lost nearly 3.5 Stone. I'm the lightest I have been for years - probably since my dd was a baby which is 6 years ago.

This is just what I needed - it's given me a real boost at the end of a week where I felt really fat and bloated and as if I wasn't getting anywhere.

I have a gym review this afternoon and I'm hoping my BMI will have reduced and my fitness levels will have gone up too.

I am a pound off finally being under 10 stone and I am determined that this is the week I'll do it!

Good luck to everyone else, well done on the weight losses keep them coming. Sorry for the long post - I'm trying to keep up, promise!

mummydoc · 10/11/2006 12:47

well done everyone - but dislexie i definightyl have more to lose !!! but i post in kilos so it doesn't seem so overwhelming and still aiming for 5 kgs by christmas, amazingly this thrad really keeps me motivated unlike anyhting else, haven't doen any exercise yet but intend to swim on sunday , bike ride on tuesday and fit something in tomorrow possibly ?? keep it up everyone we are doing well.

mummydoc · 10/11/2006 12:50

mrs fish , caough is caused by mucusy cattarh ( snot) going down the back of your throat , try extra pillows at least 4, vicks vapor rub under you nose ( no good on chest) and sudafed to try up snot, also the only cough linctus worth havign is pholcodiene - all others waste of money. hope it helps , it will get better an dhtink mucus has no calories !

mumtogusnalbie · 10/11/2006 13:19

Afternoon everyone - sorry didn't manage to post last night but by the time I had got in from work, got the boys to bed and sorted out bag for today (back at work and boys with Grandma) it was almost bedtime.
Had to make a decision about whether I should have dinner or do my stepper - decided I didn't have time to do both - and guess what? I decided on dinner!!
I did have a low fat frozen meal with fresh veggies though so not too bad however I'm not proud of the way I was then rooting through the kids snack box to find some chocolate. Luckily there wasn't any because they don't really like chocolate but I did find 2 slightly soft chocolate biscuits which were ok once dipped in a cup of tea!!
I do seem to be doing a bit better today though with 2 slices of granary toast and butter for breakfast and a ham & coleslaw sandwich with lentil soup for lunch. Managing to keep away from the snacks so far - yippee!!
Will try and catch up with everyone tonight and hopefully do my stepper - depends on what time I manage to get away from work and whether the kids are ready when I pick them up from Grandmas!!
Keep up the good work!

MrsFish · 10/11/2006 13:53

mummydoc - thanks for the advice.

I tried sitting up in bed but it didn't stop the coughing. I do have a lot of mucus at the back of my throat though, keep trying to hack it up, but its not having any of it Will try the vicks tonight.

That medicine you mentioned, is it available on the shelf or is it an over the counter item?

Sorry for the grossness everyone

mummydoc · 10/11/2006 14:42

pholcodeine available over the counter , vicks opens up nasal passagess and cattarh will hopefully slide easier, plus sudafed whic actually dries up production of said snot!

loopity · 10/11/2006 16:00

Posting food diary now because I'm out for a meal tonight yippee

Breakfast - none (tut, tut!)

Lunch - slice of toast, small tin of beans with veg sausages

Tonight - will be out, plan is to try to be as good as possible foodwise, but will be having few glasses of wine with dinner though

Speak to you all tomorrow

No time for dinner. Just had the lunch, then im out so that was my dinner.
Im not drinking tonight.
Went on a long walk with mum and brother today, so far today ive done 14413 steps. I want to wear my pedometer tonight but it might ruin my outfit. Theres nowhere else i can really put it either is there other than my pocket?

MrsFish · 10/11/2006 17:50

Today - another good day for me

Brekkie 1 and a half ounce Rice Krispies with skimmed milk, I crumpet.

Ds had a sleep at 12.30 so I did

MrsFish · 10/11/2006 17:54

... a 30 min Davina workout

Then Lunch I had 2 wholemeal toast with half a tin of chopped tomatoes and brown sauce.

Went for a walk this afternoon, only managed 2 miles and 45 mins due to bad weather.

Dinner will be having Jacket potato with tuna and side salad, glass of cava.

ONly managed 9000 steps today which equates to approx 9 miles and 500 cals which is better than nothing
