I wish I could get motivated to lose weight

I still have two stone to lose after my last pregnancy. Just can't get motivated. Go to bed with the best intentions for the next day, start the day off with porridge (good), by mid-morning find myself eating biscuits.
After dd2 I started WW when she was six weeks old - I had a lot more weight to lose then though, nearly five stone.
Can anybody give me a kick please?
I suppose I should go back to WW...

I do this every day and DS is 3!

Don't beat yourself up. You have a lot to deal with just now. You have done it before and you can do it again. If WW works for you then perhaps that is what to do. But make sure you're ready in your head before you start off. I think if you're not ready to go for it and you stray from a diet, you end up feeling worse than when you started.

Best of luck

hey, i have 2 stone to lose too......i start with weetabix x 2 with skimmed milk then it all goes pear shaped!!

How old is your new baby? mine is 12 weeks and I am breast feeding so just justify the crap I eat.....

Its so depressing but you know YOU CAN DO IT!!

I saw some pre pregnancy photos of me the other day and just thought, I am gonna do it, the first week or two is the hardest I find but when the weight starts to come off it can be sooo encouraging....good luck!!

I need to lose weight too Emkana but I really can't be bothered, & I can't help but eat chocolate (hence the name!). Had hoped to look half decent in a bikini last Christmas but it doesn't look like I'll make it this Christams either. Need to buy a large kaftan!

Hi there Gals
Gillian's right. You have got to be ready in your head to do it. You can't just wish aimlessly, you have to be committed. When you are committed you'll do it. Sounds like you go wrong after breakfast (it's great that you have breakfast - the best step in the right direction)- have you found alternative snacks? That was my big break. If you want some practical advice, I can help you.

I'm in your boat at the moment too (ds1 is 3, ds2 is 8 months, and I'mm 3 stone more than before I had them). But I know tha only thing that will motivate me is seeing improvment; you just have to get past that starting hurdle, then the better you feel and the more people notice, the more you will be inspired. But I agree, getting to that point is so hard. But I did it once, I must be able to do it again.

Hmmmm....I'm in the 'need to lose 2 stone' category too, and am also lacking in the see-it-through-to-target motivation. I manage to be "good" for 6-8 weeks (enough to see/feel a real difference), and then start to lose focus/will power, and never get back on track.

I'll be watching this thread for suggestions too.
