I've finally lost a stone so why do I still feel fat?

Not sure why it is but when I was weighed today and found out that I have now lost a stone in total I felt distinctly underwhelmed!
A couple of months ago I was still carrying it around with me so now that it has gone why do I still feel fat?
I think I am bored with loosing weight at 2lb a week (even though I know it is sensible).
Badly in need of motivation before I dig into the kids Malteasers

Crinklechunk, that's fantastic. Why not try on some old clothes that you couldn't get into before you lost that stone. A stone is a heck of a lot to shift, so you should also treat yourself to something to mark your achievement.

Well done! That's an amazing loss.

But I would suggest that perhaps you stop weighing yourself - carry on with what you are doing diet wise but stop weighing. You KNOW that it works so just trust your body to keep losing. I found that my size didn't shrink at the same time as my weight reduced but after a while I used to catch sight of myself in a mirror or see a photo and be taken aback by how different I looked - it took a few months after I had actually stopped losing weight. There's also a sort of mental image you have of yourself and that doesn't change straightaway just because the numbers on the scales change.

Oh i know exsactly what you mean crinkly!
A stone is alot to lose and yet it never showed on me, in fact no one started to comment until i had lost nearly 2 stone, that mightily pissed me off!
Keep it up, you will tell on your clothes soon. Its about a dress size isn't it a stone?

hi, i was just like this 2 weeks ago and then i lost another few pounds and everyone is all amazed and admiring. i still have another stone to lose but it felt good to finally have some recognition. stick at it you are doing really well.

i lost 2 stone recently and i really didn't feel any different UNTIL people started saying how different i looked. Now looking at pics I can see i was a bit chunkier and i cringe, but when it happens so gradually (as you say the 2lb a week thing) it just doesn;t sink in. The other big thing was when i was able to buy a size smaller in clothes. that helped

well done!!
