Started MFP'ing in March 2013. Had two fairly big bouts of falling off the wagon, which took me 8 months off schedule, but today sees me down from 202 to 167 pounds.

Have been struggling for last 2 months to get past 173 pounds, then decided to heed advice on MFP forums and increase daily calories. Six pounds has dropped off since 1 September and now that I've added 150 calories back in, I'm losing about 1/3 pound a day. So yes, the BMR/TDEE calculators have a point...for me, anyway.

Now need another 7 pounds to get to my original goal, which was to achieve BMI of 23 and see where the land lies thereafter.

Thank you to people on here who helped get me back into the routine after Wagon Fall Off 1, kind words and encouragement helped tremendously. And thanks to everyone on the Shred and C25K threads, too.

Sounds delicious. I've got a lot of weight to lose so think it's marvellous you've had success

StripyBanana · 01/10/2014 20:09

Well done. I'm struggling at the mo with a similar journey. Always good to hear success stories!

Brilliant!! Well done Grin

CiderwithBuda · 02/10/2014 00:11

Well done you.

It's the keeping at it that is the hard bit so well done for doing that.

StripyBanana · 02/10/2014 08:21

Btw whats the bit about adding calories? Can too little stall weight loss?

MrsBertMacklin · 02/10/2014 19:05

Stripy, apparently yes, although there's so many 'facts' online that contradict each other on exactly why, that I should say that this is true in my experience, rather than 'this is a fact'.

Fairly good overview on why this is here and if you Google 'can eating too few calories make you gain weight' that will bring up lots of articles/opinion posts.
