If I could get breakfast right, I think I could lose weight

Breakfast is my failing, it's the time of the day that I am starving hungry and need to eat directly I get up. Because if this it tends to be toast with lots of butter, sometimes egg on toast, sometimes both, ie one after the other. I know the combination of bread and butter is my undoing as I am good at making healthy choices for lunch and don't eat dinner.

So. Can anyone suggest anything I can eat for breakfast that is high protein and either prepared overnight or in minutes in the morning?

I would happily eat porridge but I think it's possibly too fattening. I have thought about brown rice as I could cook it overnight in the slow cooker but I have no idea if it's any less calorific than porridge. I've also thought of an omlette. Trouble is I am terrible at making them but have looked at a few machines and am contemplating purchasing something that would make it for me whilst I was doing my partner and sons breakfast/lunch.

Almonds with a berry fruit salad or a grapefruit. Almonds can fill you Up and keep you full for quite a while.
