Hello, hoping I can get some advice. Really want to lose weight, particularly around my middle. I am quite active, walk a lot go to a Zumba class once a week and am on my feet in my part time job. Tried running but seem to get injured but do enjoy short runs. So am thinking of cycling as less prone to injury.
Not keen on weight watchers etc as need to have something I can stick to for ever. Tried 5:2 but not as disciplined as I should be.
Any tips please.... I am 45, BMI is 30/31
Thanks

If you can stay focused for 12 weeks you will see results without prescribing to a set diet. I'd recommend cutting out alcohol, gluten and refined sugar. Download my fitness pal app and set it to 1800 calories. It helps you become more mindful, I found that I was eating my daily calorie intake in mindless snacks (handful of crisps here, nuts, chocolates, raisins, Nutella out of the jar Grin) and then topping it off with small and healthy meals so it was completely counter productive.

Don't go hungry, you will eventually binge and any activity is good activity. Sounds easy but it's not. They say it takes 20 days to create a habit so just think of it as reversing your habits I try to apply that to a lot of things in life (I only have the discipline to succeed 20% of the time)Wink
