My weight has creeped from a size 8 at the beginning of the year to a size 12 now. I am conscious that women in my family tend to get fatter with age and most of them are obese. Now at the age of 34 and with one child, gone are the days when I could eat junk everyday. Now all I need to do is look at junk food and the pounds pile on!
Have decided to go with Slimming World for a number of reasons. I like their thinking that when you eat 1/3 of your plate should be salad/super free. Also their recipes seem like stuff that I would eat and I don't have to go buy ingredients that I've never heard of! And my brain can't cope with counting points and such like. I can see how people could get carried away with the portion sizes but it's not portions that are a problem for me, just eating junk!
According to their website I can't join the group because my BMI is fine, and the online membership is too expensive. So I am going it solo by finding info online and using their 7 day weekly plan online to start off. Just went to Sainsbury's and bought everything, which seemed more than I usually buy! Def more fruit than I usually buy.
So Day 1 of Slimming World starts tomorrow and hoping to include some FitnessBlender exercises plus the 30 Day Shred.
