I put on 3 stone during pregnancy and my DC is 9 weeks, what's a reasonable amount if time to lose it all? I've got 1.5 stone to go. I've put in minimum effort so far!

9 months on, 9 months off? Grin

No idea - my DS is 13 now and I am not back to my pre-baby weight Grin.

I think if you are sensible and determined you can lose 2lb a week - and yes, you can lose weight sensibly whilst breast feeding (if you want to), don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Most 'sensible' eating plans are just that - healthy portions of good, fresh food, filling up with fruit and veg and avoiding too many processed food and alcohol.

(I know all the theory - just no motivation Grin).

Mine took a year to come off. The shape I became was not that of my pre preg self. Just so you're prepared in case the same happens to you. Noone mentioned that part to me! I was told by a friend 9 months on therefore 9 to come off. But she was a twig Wink x

I lost the baby weight within five months (walked and dieted) as wanted to conceive again quickly. Still hd pre baby weight on though.

I found it took until month three of four to feel anyway back to myself. Put on around three stone too.

DS is 13 months old and I am now two dresses sizes under my pre- pregnancy weight. Lots of water, fruit and veg, moderate amounts of chocs and alcohol. I try to avoid wheat and tend to eat brown rice and GL pasta to avoid getting bloated. A walk outside somewhere, everyday. The tipping point (for me) was breastfeeding past six months; that was when the weight really shifted. DS was eating solids, but he still loves his milk and literally sucked the pounds off me.

I think that at 9 weeks you've kinda lost the baby weight and just to look at it as regular weight gain. 2/3 lbs a week is fair enough for loss. Eat less, do more being the. Main aim.

Loss is mainly in the dieting. Slimming world is supposed to be good.

I lost it in twelve weeks but I used myfitnesspal from week three and walked three miles five times a week. First baby took seven months though with minimal effort, second time I tried hard.

My first 3 pregnancies I put on about 3 stone and lost it within 6 months. 4 pregnancy I never managed to loose the last stone but I blame my dp for introducing me to takeaways!

AmericasTorturedBrow · 20/08/2014 14:24

Lost it within 2 weeks with DC1 (shock, no appetite, breast feeding), didn't start to come off with DC2 until we stopped breast feeding at 10months, then it dropped off.

Now I'm a size lower than pre pregnancy, but my body is also totally different shape
