Just that really, is it smaller clothes? Other peoples comments , the way you feel, the way you look in the Mirror? Your measurements changing?
Just curious/ looking for more motivation!

All of the above. This time around it's the fact that it is a hot summer and I look a disgrace as no clothes fit me. I have a pressful of clothes and I can't wear them. I also want to be healthier as not feeling so great recently so fingers crossed this is my last time to try losing weight (hence my user name)

Besides the one big motivation - being an older mother, the desire to be around for as much of my son's life as possible - I think it's the idea of being able to be less self-conscious. To be able to go for a run without rude shouts from cars, to take my toddler swimming without sniggers in the changing room. I hate shopping with a passion, so the idea of being able to buy clothes quickly and easily is very attractive.

I like the idea of just being 'that Irish woman' or 'the one with the curly hair', not 'the heavy one'.

I also associate my extra weight with the past, and unhappy times and old habits, and I like the idea of symbolically being rid of it.
