After trying every diet under the sun and all these exercises I have lost no weight what so ever

So here is my plan to walk/ jog for about 30mins every day and eat only fruit and vegetables when hungry

Does any one think this will work or have I just completely lost my mind

What about pulses ? for protein?

samandkat · 16/07/2014 20:55

Maybe a protein supplement as well

What you are suggesting is a type of cleanse diet - so in the very short term you will lose weight and may well feel fantastic (other people feel terrible so could go either way Wink). Much more than a few days of it though and you will start affecting your health. Our bodies need fat and protein, without them you will notice the difference in your mood, sleep, skin, hair, nails, digestion, concentration levels....the list goes on and longer term more serious problems will ensue.

Plenty of people eat like this long term. It's fine if you are careful

DontstepontheMomeRaths · 20/07/2014 22:56

When I read Finding Ultra I wanted to do this and I did for 3 months. I felt incredible. You need to eat a lot though or you get hungry. Lots of veg, pulses and fruit etc

There's some great websites for ideas.

Fallen off the wagon somewhat now Blush

Sleepwhenidie · 20/07/2014 22:56

Hmm Turbo? Purely fruit and veg, no nuts, seeds, dairy or legumes/pulses? I'd like to see how 'fine' they are.

TurboWithAKick · 20/07/2014 23:11

GrinThere are whole groups of people out there who do it!

No different to being vegan

Avocados/seeds/nuts

TurboWithAKick · 20/07/2014 23:12

You don't 'need' dairy either!

Sleepwhenidie · 20/07/2014 23:16

I didn't say you need dairy, I said you need fat and protein. OP didn't mention nuts or seeds, hence my query no nuts or seeds.

TurboWithAKick · 21/07/2014 00:17

Part of a plant tho aren't they?

Sleepwhenidie · 21/07/2014 08:10

OP if you want to try out a juice/veg fast, vegan ism, raw food diet for health reasons, go for it, see how you feel, but be alert to the symptoms of nutrient deficiencies if it's for more than very short term.

As a weight loss plan however, I'd say yes, you have slightly lost your mind, unless your idea of weight loss success is to lose weight then regain it immediately you cease the diet.
