Spinning for weight loss

I've just done my first spin class. Just wondered if anyone has found spinning good for weight loss.

I would like to lose around a stone in weight. I'm not great at dieting but am trying to get better. I'm a grazer and now that the kids are at home I am constantly in the kitchen so access to the fridge and cupboards is too easy.

I haven't got any experience of spinning, but...

I've found it really, really hard to lose weight only through exercise. I have increased my normal routine to six exercise-y things a week (3 x swims, 1 x step class, 1 x Pilates class and 1 x bike ride). So some of this is high intensity, some low intensity. Unless I adjust my food intake I will not lose weight.

My BMI is hovering around 26, and I could also do with losing a stone Smile

I might be slightly porky but I feel really fit and healthy from all the exercise

I know my biggest problem is my food intake. I try and limit myself and I do 2 days and then end up eating rubbish.

I was such a slim child and teen and now after DC even though I'm fit I can't help but put on weight. I feel so crap. It's only a stone and I know p I should be able to do it.
