Hello,

I often hear people on here and elsewhere talking about giving up sugar. What does this mean exactly? All sugar? Processed sugar? Refined carbs? are low sugar items allowed? Fruit?

(I recognise that one could do some or all of the above but what do people mean in general Smile)

Interestingly Petula if you eat and really chew slowly it's difficult to eat high sugar or salt 'empty' foods because that's how they taste IFYSWIM!

The contrast between a couple of pieces of dark organic (low sugar) chocolate with a milky way or some such bar Grin is sooo different that eating the MW is impossible (well for me anyway Grin).

I eat protein sometimes but mainly good quality fish or a piece of organic white meat but I eat that less and less (i don't like the fattiness of dairy).
