Yes, I have, and yes it does. As a vegetarian though, I found it hard to sustain long term as the 'don't mix fats and carbs' rule was tricky to adhere to on a day to day basis, particularly when eating out when my options are usually pizza or pasta and nearly always have an element of cheese.
