How much difference will this exercise make?

I am currently 10st 6 and 5ft 3. I would ideally like to weigh 9 stone by October and be a lot more toned. I have cut out sugar and alcohol and eat 3 balanced meals a day, home cooked all fresh ingredients etc.

I have started swimming for 30 mins 5 days a week and walking for 45 mins 2-3 times a week. I don't rest during the exercise and keep going when I am out of breath/feel tired etc.

It's been around two weeks now and I haven't noticed a difference! Considering I did no exercise before I'm a bit miffed!

Is this normal? Long run will this make a difference or do I need to up my game?

My weight loss has stayed at 1-2 pounds a week.

Thank you!

Sounds good to me!

So it's cardio based. Better than nothing! Well done

Hi, how far do you swim in those 30 mins, how far do you walk in the 45 mins?
I would be bored swimming 5 days a week.
Yes, both are exercise but the only thing that changes my body shape, makes me lose weight is hard cardio mixed with toning.
Walking will increase general fitness but not sure it would burn a lot of fat.
Swimming can be great for fitness & toning, but you have to swim hard.

Not sure if any of that helps & I'm in no way an expert.

Losing 1-2lb a week is ideal really.
