For some reason I have put on about 6lbs in the past few months and would really like to lose this plus about the same again. My clothes aren't much tighter but I can feel the difference I have been eating healthily for the past month or so but haven't lost anything. I can't exercise atm because of problems with my knee but before this happened (10 days ago) I was doing a fair bit of walking.
I just don't know what else to do! Is it worthwhile joining WW or SW for the sake of a stone? (would be happy with 1/2 stone tbh)or is there a better way I can do it on my own?

Dh keeps saying it will start to come off at some point but I am seriously getting demotivated and have resorted to cheesecake and chocolate on a coupl eof occasions!

Hi,

I joined ww 28th June and have gone from 12st 1 to 10st 11. I did exercise with this though. I found ww meetings good if you need a little motivation. Can you go swimming (low impact) for some extra calorie burning? What about yoga/pilates/body balance type classes?

HI westerngirl, well done! I can't do any exercise except walking at the moment and that doesn't really count as I can't walk very fast or very far (I can't make it round the supermarket!) I have torn the cartilage in my knee and can't fully weight bear plus any strange movement can make it lock again, which I can't face for now. Until I can have an op (hopefully nto long) I am trying to walk as much as I can but it's not enough to really help . I just need some motivation to keep goin I think but can't make my mind up about going to ww/sl. My size 10s are calling though!

I'd like to lose the same. I'd put on 6 pounds or so and before that about 7 over time bit by bit. I suppose the answer is if we're not losing anything we're eating more than we're expending so need to eat less. In theory it's simple. I need to cut out the mugs of very thick hot chocolate.
