MFP & Slimming world ... I've put weight on!!!

So frustrated. My usual diet would have consisted of a bowl of coco pops for breaky, sausage roll mid morning, pot noodle and packet of crisps for lunch and some big unhealthy dinner as well as alcohol and many, many sweets EVERY night of the week.

I started my own version of slimming world, basically following their recipes, counting syns and stopping the late night binges and I started this 10 stone 11lbs. A week later I am 11 stone!!!

An average day now consists of scrambled egg on wholemeal toast and fruit for breakfast. Jacket potato with tuna and beans for lunch and a slimming world recipe dinner with muller light for desert and an options hot chocolate for snack later on. MFP is saying I'm eating the right amount of calories per day to lose one pound a week. I've also started jogging a mile a day. So what the hell is going on? I'm drinking loads of water and not starving myself. So, so, so frustrated.

Are you measuring what you're eating correctly? I found I was overestimating portion sizes and when I cut down it went the right way.

Are you eating back your exercise cals on MFP - I've always found I don't lose if I do that, I have to stick with the daily cal allowance and use exercise as a bonus. Re slimming world, you would need to be eating 1/3 of your meals superfree (basically most fruit and veg) in order for it to work as the idea is that you fill up on these and eat less of the higher cal carbs etc. If you aren't doing that (which it doesn't appear that you are from what you've posted) you won't lose weight on it.

How many calories is MFP allowing you for the jogging? It should be something depresssing like 100 i think.

Other than that, I would stick with it, because a week is nothing really, it could be a bit of water retention or something. Tomorrow you'll probably spend the day weeing and be 5lb lighter (is that just me?!)

Oh, how tall are you? 10st11 is not exactly elephant territory so you might be more in the 'tweaking' rather than 'lose half my body weight' category.
